infrared treatment

I went to a yoga class the other day and afterward the teacher performed some sort of infrared treatment on a students bad back and said student said that it helped her immensely. I am thinking about getting this same thing done on my bad leg. Here is a link, I would like to know what you guys think.

you can purchase an infrared bulb at the hardware store fore 10-15 dollars and use it for 15 minutes a night on yourself.........

i think infrared saunas are amazingly helpful in gaining proper health, especially when the othe elimination and respritory systems are compromised and need help functioning

I knwo about infrared saunas and such but this is different. It is supposed to be a special frequency among other things which are meant to make it more effective than normal infrared treatment. What I want to know from people who know more about this is is it really more effective or just an excuse to sell an expensive device that does the same thing as normal infrared technology.

    I've seen LED red light treatment being done, helping with pain and healing.

I tried an infra-red sauna once, but, since I had no issues at the time, I noticed no benefits, really. The only person I know of who I thought might benefit had been told by her doctor that her varicose veins etc. meant she had to forego the use of such saunas. She might accept a special infra-red gadget which focused just on specific parts of her body, but all-over infra-red is out for her.

a special frequency

It's not that special - just a high-end infrared range frequency from a spot-treatment device with a price-tag and a certified-training program. I don't know your specific complaint, but how does your leg feel after soaking in a hot-tub and then stretching while still in the sauna? Or Bikram yoga (hot yoga)?

I havent done hot tub or or bikram yoga or stretching while in sauna. Iv done a normal sauna once recently and i did seem to feel a bit better after in terms of my leg. I will hopefully start going twice a month or so and see how that goes, should i stretching in the sauna?

I stretch in the steam sauna and hot tub after I get good and warmed up.

There is my synchronous event for the day! I was listening to an Aajonus interview on one radio network today and one of the advertisements was for the Far Infrared Sauna, I've listened to this interview several times, but today is the first time I noticed that commercial and it really stuck out to me in a big way.

Is your yoga class the first time you have heard about Far Infrared?

Id heard of inrared saunas several times before but it was the first time I saw someone applying infrared to a concentrated spot with a handheld device.
