Grass fed bison in South West Florida? PLEASE HELP!
« on: December 10, 2011, 11:11:33 pm »
Hi All,
Hi paleo dieters in the US,

I'm currently staying in Fort Myers.

WHERE can I buy grass fed bison in South West FLorida?

PLEASE HELP!    ;)

I'm really thankful for every recommendation. For me, raw bison is the absolute non-plus-ultra.

Thanks in advance..

Löwenherz

PS: So far I have only found Wholefoods in Naples as a possible source. But they have only a very small selection. And the staff there is even not sure if it is 100% grass fed.

Dude, you live in south Florida.  Why not just eat wild seafoods?  Florida seafood, especially scallops and clams, are amazing.

The man wants some American bison :)

West side..hmmm no idea. Alligator meat? Pretty sure most bison is not ever 100% grass-fed. The only one I know of is Slankers and their bison tastes terrible IMO for some reason. Going by the way the meat looks, the WF Bison is some of the most optically pure looking meat..I guess to a degree where it looks almost fake. Anecdotally, Its never bothered me eating it.

I think there is a thread on bison specifically.

Yes, I eat seafood, BUT AMERICAN GRASS FED BISON was and is and will most likely always be the non-plus-ultra for me.  :) Can't do anything, bison is what my body wants.

Today I found some MONSTER scallops. Must be the oil spill... hehe. They were round about as big as water melons. hehe

Today at WF in Naples bison top loin tasted heavenly, whereas bison rib-eye tasted like 100% grain-fed shit. And it was SO fat that I became very skeptical..
