Can Chicken eat a grain fed diet?

I have read that birds produce the enzymes that enable them to digest break down the many lectins, phytates and all the other anti-nutrients that are found in grains. 

If it ok to eat chicken if they have been fed a grain fed diet?  I know places like Earthfare, Whole Foods and my local Fresh Market all sell chicken that has been pasture raised with not hormones or anti-biotics and are fed a vegetarian diet (probably GMO grains but I can ask further).  I know birds eat bugs, berries and seeds naturally do; so I am sure the "vegetarian" diet they are fed doesn't include bugs and berries would be too expensive. 

Do any of you eat these chicken?  I've eaten a Rotisserie chicken before it was tasty just wondering if I'm eating something that is loaded with junk.

Sigh I guess I'll have to have a farm one day so I can grow/raise my own food....

Cooked chicken tastes great, but raw chicken is not doable for my wife and I.

Ya that's why I posed it on the 'hot topics' section; I am just not sure how I feel about eating raw chicken.  But I am more of a high raw person.

I do want to know what's the best way to raise chickens so I can ask the right questions.  I do know that Earthfare/wholefoods only have chickens that aren't fed hormones or antibiotics so that's a step in the right direction if you ask me.

I don't think chickens that eat a partially grain-based diet would be too bad to eat raw.
