Digestion Times?

Hey guys,

keep easing my way into all this.  I keep finding mono meals are more and more appealing.  I still seem to require good amounts of cooked vegetables in my diet at the moment.  However, i find that rare/raw salmon/beef do not seem to vibe well with cooked vegetables.  I didn't know if people have this experience.  Intuitively it makes sense to me to eat the meat first, wait a little while and then eat the cooked vegetables.  What you think?

I would eat the meat first, but you'll probably need to experiment.

Have you thought about eating fermented vegetables instead?

I do mix small amounts of fermented vegetables with my cooked veggies probably half the time.  However, my liver is still very clogged up and probably bad bugs inside.  I can't tolerate ferments in that large of quantities at the moment.  I find that chewing really well helps to avoid any bad digestion when eating cooked foods.  My goal is to have an "all raw" day sometime soon just to see how it feels.  Most stuff raw its just the veggies fibrousness gets in the way.  Also, cooked food seems more grounding to me and i tend to be ungrounded lately.

Fats and minerals are very effective for grounding, in my experience.  Greens, dolomite, shellfish like scallops, and Terramin Clay are good for minerals.  Fatty wild-caught fish and, of course, fat from grassfed beef are good for fats.

Have you been able to try raw marrow yet? I've found it to be incredibly grounding. If you still can't handle it raw, consider making some bone broth. It also has a very calming, down to earth effect, at least in my experience with it so far.

Yea bone marrow is amazingly tasty.  Kinda like a creamy butter mixed with coconut oil

Just dith the cooked food altogether. WHen I went raw paleo I went cold turkey on cooked foods and never looked back. If you go cold turkey after a short while you will forget what cooked foods even taste like and avoiding them wont be a problem (cravings wise, socially is a different story). I find that by easing into it slowly it only makes things harder because you keep reminding yourself what the cooked food tastes like thus making it harder to quit. I went cold turkey and never looked back and think thats the easiest way.

Also drop the veggies. Only eat them raw and whole when you are craving them. Otherwise juices are far superior.
