I am having the hardest time finding information on switching to raw meat. I'm not sure if I'm just not searching properly or what. I keep getting articles for raw dog food, or Paleo recipes. I just want to know some basics. How do I adjust my body to eating raw meat, or is it safe to just jump right in. What temperature should the food be stored at, and what temperature should it be eaten at, or does that even matter? I don't have a lot of income and I have 2 children, so I can't just go buy some books or hire a nutritionist. I know the internet holds all of the information that I need, I just can't seem to find it.
Let me just give you a little history on myself and why I want to switch to this diet.
I am 24 and have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. I am overweight, lazy, I feel sluggish all the time, I have horrid eating habits (I eat out of boredom), I have this awful grinding sound in my knees when I walk, and my hips are always hurting, and one of them pops when I walk. I feel unhealthy and I look unhealthy. I also fear I may have some addiction to McDonald's. I'm just being brutally honest about myself.
I know that all I'm eating are chemicals. I love fruits and veggies, I love all healthy foods actually, just rotten foods are more easily obtained. I did say I was lazy.
I just feel I need a major overhaul of my life.
I have always lived by the principle, that if you don't like something about yourself, then fix it, which is what I'm trying to accomplish.
I first learned about eating raw meat from Wife Swap actually. Even though they made the family that was eating the raw foods out to be a bunch of crazies, I felt as if I had seen this for a reason, and I needed to know more.
The testimonials I have come across astounded me. I am a firm believer that this diet, if nothing else, will at least fix my sluggishness and laziness. I'm also getting married in 3 months and would like to at least look a little better in my dress.
I just don't know how to get started. Help me be a better person please!
