Japan bans raw beef liver

The trouble is that most Japanese beef is grainfed so it is nowhere near as healthy as raw, grassfed beef elsewhere.

i don't understand what's the outrage.  it is banned in the US as well and probably in all of Europe.  and anyone can buy raw liver and eat it at home all they want.

Being able to eat raw animal foods in restaurants is a very big deal for a persecuted minority like ours. For example, someone might want to invite their girlfriend out to eat raw oysters or raw liver or whatever at a grand restaurant only to find they are banned from providing it.
