My wisdom teeth (pulled 12 yrs ago) are regrowing...
« on: October 12, 2012, 04:11:59 am »
I had discomfort, jaw pain and swollen gums and now little teeth are popping through in the back. They were pulled 12 years ago (actually removed surgically). How can that be?
And I am unsure what to do about it now. They were pulled because my jaw was too small for them supposedly. But I don't want to have them pulled and then they just regrow again.
Has anyone ever had that?

Amazing!  I would document it with your biological dentist and find out how this had happened.

Hi Suiren,

I feel like mine, at least the top right one is growing back in too. I could just be imagining things, but feels like there is a lump where the indent always used to be. I hope so, I'm so Effing pissed that I was robbed of those teeth!

let us know how it goes, I posted about this somewhere a while back, I will keep it updated wherever that was for comparison. My teeth are remineralizing too, and I've heard about regrowing teeth before, wouldn't be to far fetched for wisdom teeth to regrow, apparently they are a great source of adult stem cells.

Someone else that is regrowing  :)
What do you mean by re-mineralizing?

I got my wisdom teeth fairly early and they were big. This however seems to be smaller. I took a picture of a piece of tooth sticking out back there.
I read some people have 4th molars too.

I wish my other molars would regrow. I lost two on the top right to badly done root canal. I can't chew on that side anymore.

Oh no!! Root canals are icky.

I mean, I drank so much soda as a kid (along with all the other super-processed rubbish I lived on! yuck) that it made my front teeth semi transparent because there were no minerals to build proper teeth with OR it depleted the minerals out of them, either way, you could see through the bottom half of my teeth, but now it appears that some very dense white material (which I take to be minerals) are seeping back down in to my teeth and making them solid again, it is a process, but appears to be picking up  the longer I'm RVAF. It would happen faster I'd guess, but I eat a fair amount of cooked food that I'm sure is slowing the progress. Just that it's occurring though has me so thrilled, I need to take photos progressively because no on is going to believe this. The contrast will be very obvious.

I know what you mean about Soda. I weirdly decided to stop drinking Soda when I was 6 because I heard it is bad!  :D
But I can't say I never had dental work done. At least 10 cavities throughout my life.

Well anyway, here is the toothie. It seems underdeveloped, which I read is common for 4th molars...The other side looks the same, but it is hard to get a clear picture. I can only do it on this side because I am missing so many molars there, ha!
(Don't mind the copyright, you never know...someone might end up pretending to be my tooth)

Next time your dentist will do X-ray ask for a copy if it.  It would be awesome to see the whole thing.

Rami Nagel has compiled large amounts of info on natural dental health. I would contact him. I'm sure that avoiding nuts and there oils, taking fclo, and using orageno oil helps teath heal and be strong.
Your jaw can get bigger and make room for more teath. They sell equipment for that, I understand some products are better than others, but I'm confused past that.
2 years ago I saw an expensive, nice, natural dentist because I snored. He did bunches of tests, that cost so much I had nothing left for the appliance.
I did learn that I rested my tounge in my jaw wich misshaped my whole mouth, led to slack in my soft pallet and caused snoring. They said the appiance was required to correct the problem. I decided to try to intentionally place my tounge in the roof of my mouth, hoping it would help. Dentist said it wouldn't and that I couldn't controll what I did while sleeping.
I didn't accept that. I had nothing to loose and I reasoned that my tounge placement was a bad habit. I could break it consciously and unconscious would take care of itself. It didn't happen over night but, my jaw is much wider. My tounge fits nicely now, where it was cramped before. At first I had to suction my tounge to the roof of my mouth and it was in the way of my teeth so I kept them open, just a bit.
It reminded me of what I learned about how infant suckeling contributed to health jaw growth. That encouraged me to endure a mild head/tmj ache lasted months. It did become habit. My tounge fits nicely in my mouth now. The jaw widens too and I have more room between all of my teeth. (Obvious with flossing).
Eating carbs is ruining my teeth. I hope to kick them soon. Are you still low carb due to fructose sensitivity? Now that your off pasta and getting plenty of raw fat and protien your teeth could heal/grow remarkably.

At Ann Wigmore's we read about some long lived and amazing people. I'm pretty sure they said every seventy-five years..or was it one hundred fifty?  Well anyway, supposedly every so often people grow the next set of teeth, if healthy.

Your jaw can get bigger and make room for more teeth.

This is completely true. Some bones have the ability to keep growing. Things like your arms and legs have hard ends that won't grow anymore, but several others will- Lots of bones in the hands and feet, as well as head and face, will keep growing.

My jaw has definitely gotten larger and stronger since I've gone raw paleo- I assume tearing all the meat up is the likely cause. I now regret getting my wisdom teeth taken out as there is room for them in the back of my mouth (there wasn't when I got them removed), and I think it would be pretty cool to have them.

Actually, I didn't mean your jaw would grow, but that it would shift dimensions at the sutures (were facial bones join). Bones get bigger with use, especially against resistance(ie. chewing your raw meat).  It is common knowledge that baby's mouths that nurse are better suited to healthy teeth formation, because of the suction act on the Brest, being superior to the bottle. The nutrition is also a factor,  of course.

Is it like a special type of people, like a tribe or a region they are from? I would like to know more. I only read that humans in the past had some traits many don't have anymore, one of them being able to fit more teeth and a 4th set of molars was normal too.

Thank you! He has much chubbier cheeks than the average toddler ;) it is funny when people think he is a little baby that walks.
Btw. his teeth are extremely nice and straight, close together too. He will never need braces ;)
