Now, I know some people will say" oh it only  refers to pasteurised dairy". However, the article specifically refers to the harm done to male fertility by the hormones in the dairy. Those hormones would be present in raw dairy too. It's not at all surprising that those female hormones in the cows' milk might negatively affect male fertility. I have also heard one or two RVAFers claim that consuming raw dairy helped get rid of their infertility, but, since they were, in all instances, female, the effects of female hormones in the raw cows' milk might actually have been very beneficial.

I can tell you that I cannot eat cooked or pasteurized cheese (as well as pasteurized milk).

If I eat pasteurized dairy I get constipation, gas, indigestion, etc. It is completely unforgiving and sometimes really bad. A lot faster and more savage than pasteurized milk. Consequently I never ate it. I also find it very sour.

I have never had problems with infertility, however, I realize there are lots of other people in the world who may have the problem.

Ayurveda simply says that cooked cheese is indigestible and that cheese is very hard to digest.

Personally I can eat all the raw cheese that I want with absolutely no issues.

The article clearly refers to pasteurized dairy, which is world of difference.

The article also failed to mention that cellphones and the various plastics, commonly used for holding food, have been implicated quite strongly in male infertility, to the point where what is considered the baseline of male fertility has downgraded substantially. Consumption of soy products has also been implicated and since soy products are used as fillers in lots of foods......

It is just about impossible to separate all of these variables out of the equation, in what sounds like such a loose experiment. Harvard is known for loose experiments, that start off with a conclusion and work their way back, IMHO

However it does not surprise me that pasteurized dairy could be a culprit.

It seems so silly to pasteurize cheese. Milk I could see a justification, maybe, but cheese, no way.
Cheers
Al

well, i don't believe it. according to studies sperm counts have decreased by 50% during the last few decades and infertility has skyrocketed but humans have been drinking milk since thousands of years. i don't even believe that pasteurization or homogenization might be the problem.

if they could have taken out all other possible culprits like xeno-estrogens in plastic, phyto-estrogens in soy and whatnot, or EMFs, microwaves and cell phone radiation then i'd say ok, dairy is the problem, but there are so many things in today's environment and diet that can cause infertility that blaming it on dairy products seems like an excuse.
