This is something frequently discussed on the SCD Yahoo group. People who need to lose naturally lose, regardless  of calorie consumption. The same applies for people who need to gain.

I lost 80 pounds on SCD, while eating massive amounts of carbs, olive and coconut oil.

Since going back to a SADiet, I've gained 50 pounds and am again overweight.
