Who knows really, but looks like you're in Canada, have to wonder about the eggs you get in the first place.  Free range in the winter in canada?  They're eating corn and soy. And the free range may be inside a wharehouse..  But then maybe the eggs are imported from a warmer place.  One way to tell is how orange are they?  If they are only a light yellow, they are merely corn and soy transformed into egg.

Hmm okay maybe its the egg whites? I noticed that since the third day eating eggs, I stopped finishing the whites each time. Id just toss the remainder down the sink after taking a big gulp that included the yolk. Ill check out that site, thanks

Also, the eggs are extremely orange. Much more orange than Im used to. Some brands are even more orange than that here, should I go for those?

I didn't mention the quality of the eggs because it's already  been discussed several times. Yes,  it's a big problem, so much that I finally put up my own poultry.

I don't think the color of the yolks is a sufficiently reliable indicator. It may be ok at the beginning to eat a few "organic" and "free range" raw eggs, but if you like them to the point of  regularly eating many and once you're into completely raw nutrition, you'd better find totally suitable eggs from birds receiving no wheat, no hot dried grain and no cooked leftovers. I give some raw soaked oats and millet every evening to mine. Other cereals than wheat are acceptable in reasonable amount because birds are grain-eaters,  unlike cattle.

Sorry GS, I don't understand this "liver flushing" thing... I can't believe that we could "flush" our organs!

Canada is a country of many climates. I left Ontario -15 Celsius and am in BC @ 5 degrees C. Free range does not mean they are out roaming on the range where the deer and the antelope play  ;D no matter where you live. All chickens are raised in some sort of coop which may be a section of backyard or an eggmobile. All free range means is that there is a door on the coop, which may never be used. Chickens are by their very nature 'chicken'. That translates into not being brave enough to leave the coop, unless one learns bravery and then they all have that quality of going outside. Chickens are descended from Africa so they are made for a warm climate, but have adapted. When you buy any food you are at the mercy of farmers and so it is hard to know what they are fed, unless you grow them yourselves.

Poncho you have the right idea, grow your own.

All chickens have been bred to do what nature never intended to do which is to continuously produce eggs.

I used to eat a lot of eggs but now I just have one when the spirit strikes.

I just poke a couple of holes in with a pin and suck it all out. Somehow they taste better and go down very nicely. I cannot eat them if the egg is broken and it is put into a bowl. I also avoid eating more than one at a time.
Cheers
Al

Err, no, chickens originally are descended  from jungle fowl in South East Asia:-

Both places are warm though, right? So same idea. Jungle chickens sound more hardcore though

The raw paleo diet norm is organ cleansing be done via diet... gradually.

But for non raw paleos, and those dying of critical illnesses, we healers do this all the time. Clean out colon, kidneys, livers.

And it just so happens that raw fats, citrus and apples are the keys to cleaning livers.

It's rarely discussed, but raw egg whites contain rather valuable rare nutrients. AFAIK, raw egg whites are the only easily-obtainable single food that contains all three glutathione precursors: glutamyl, cysteine and glycine. The glutamyl and cysteine are in the form of glutamyl-cysteine, a rare nutrient found in the beta-lactoglobulin and serum albumin of egg whites (and the whey portion of raw dairy). Glycine is pretty common, but perhaps eating it together with the glutamyl-cysteine better enables glutathione production.

When people talk about egg whites, most focus on avidin (reduced in fertilized eggs and more than offset by the biotin in a diet rich in biotin-rich foods like chicken liver, pastured yolks, beef liver, animal skin/gelatin, berries, leafy greens and other Paleo foods) and salmonella (overhyped hysteria) instead of glutathione precursors.

"Aajonus Vonderplanitz, a strong proponent of raw eggs, credits, in part, a diet rich in raw eggs to saving his life."

Wow. We're looking around Comox to relocate. Deal breaker will be access to raw dairy.

Interesting. Makes me understand why I like eggs' whites. Contrary to most people, I can eat a lot of eggs' whites, so much so that my ex-girl friend (who didn't like them) kept them for me. I drank plenty at once, just like water.  :)

Yes, I've come to like raw whites over time too, and raw duck egg whites tasted reasonably good from the start. Even chicken egg whites now taste slightly sweet to me, which suggests that the brain eventually connects the nutrients in the whites to their taste and provides good taste signals to encourage eating them, as with other nutritious foods that have an acquired taste. Granted, humans and wild animals do tend to prefer the taste of yolks, which are more nutritious, but they will eat whites too. Raw egg whites taste better to me than cooked. Cooked egg whites are bland and boring to me. Near tasteless.

Yes, these eggs, at least the ones I buy from Canada, are certainly not nearly as optimal as they should be. Its for this reason partly I have cut back a lot, but I always get the Omega 3 eggs (although I have to wonder if these are even any better?) Anytime I get them they're nice and orange and taste better. Regular eggs are always so much more yellow its striking the difference.

I really don't have a lot of faith in eggs anymore, unless they're as natural as you can get them. I haven't looked in to anything like that so far, but for the spring and summer maybe I'll try and seek out the highest quality available to me here, which I'm sure would be so good for me.

It'd be neat one day to have a range of eggs available from several different species, including lizards and the like!

Iguana's eggs, but I don't know why I never found any in Sri lanka, where iguanas abound. I'm also wondering why I don't lay eggs myself  ;D ;D ... ah, perhaps because it's only the female iguanas who lay eggs?

You made yourself throw up not the raw eggs. Nausea is a normal part of detoxification as your body dumps toxins into your stomach. If your anything like me youll get a bunch of symptoms as you start this diet that will all go away once your body has cleared it out. Toxins entering your blood stream to leave your body is no fun but it has to be done.
All of the symp toms I had that made me switch to rpd actually peaked about 3 or 4 months into the diet and then continually began going away up till about a year and a half later now where I feel phenomenal all of the time.

You just need to get through the initial detox period. Smoking pot helped with my nausea.

You there, Troll. I like what you have to say.
Good to hear it so bluntly put, thats the best way to give me information for some reason.
I feel relieved now haha

I think I did need to throw up just that once though, I get nauseous at least a few times a day after eating certain raw foods. Thats fine, I deal with it. But that one time was extreme and my body didnt want what was in it.

Two whole eggs a day should be no problem I think. Perhaps it is the consistency of the raw food that makes you want to puke? If that is the case it is likely psychosomatic.
Or if it is the method you are eating them, then try eating eggs different ways. I like to poke two holes (pinky nail sized top and pin hole sized bottom) and suck little bits of egg through the top.
Or if you are still having the high protein low fat diet problem it could be a starvation response. I know if I am feeling hungry on a fast I will want to throw up even though I have not eaten anything.

I threw up only once. They usually make me a bit nauseous for a little while though. I think the toxins emptying into my stomach thing makes sense. And that time, it was just a lot of toxins. My body didnt want them in it at all, maybe? It was within the first 4-6 days of me cutting out processed foods and almost all sugar.

throwing up is still getting rid of the toxin once they dumped into ur stomach.it doesnt matter which end they come out really.just sounds to me like you got rid of some prettynasty stuff which means the eggs did their job almost too well.
