One big problem I have found re local fishmongers is their "raw" prawns. It's well-known that SE Asian fish-farms  routinely feed their shellfish on  actual excrement.

They do that with crabmeat here. You can buy "crab" (quotation marks included), which is pollock, sorbitol, a binder, and pink food coloring, at markets and restaurants.

There crustaceans - shrimp, lobster - are bottom feeders. That's the polite way of saying shit-eaters. I think they were eating shit long before mankind ate them.
