Does anyone eat only raw beef/fat/organs?
« on: October 21, 2013, 12:25:05 pm »
Does anyone here eat only raw beef and the neighboring fat and raw organs? - No "partially cooked" raw beef half the time, no Oreo's on Sundays, no green vegetables, just raw beef and its fat/organs.

Theoretically I've been led to believe a human could sustain on just these things (and water). I am interested if it works for anyone.

Lex rooker has been doing this for over 9 years. Check his journal. He's the only one that has chosen to eat that way for that long on this forum. I eat mostly meat, but I add in different animals where possible.

Other side issues I'd like to get over: Acne, dandruff, tooth health (yellow, poor gums, gingivitis)

If ya ain't hungry enough to eat raw liver, ya ain't hungry enough.

We are all just doing the best we can, with what we know, at any given time.

I think eveheart pretty much eats this way. She pretty much has to, I think, because her symptoms get really bad if she doesn't.  If I recall correctly, it's pretty much the same with Lex. They're both forced to eat this way, or suffer really bad chronic symptoms.

i've been eating a diet of only raw beef and fat for the past 6 months and absolutely love it and feel better than i ever have. had bad reactions to organ meats so i stopped eating them after a 2 week trial.
similar to lex i eat grassfed ground beef (75/25) and never get tired of the taste or texture. haven't had a single cheat meal since I started.
i proudly bring my brown paper bag of my grassfed gb to the finest restaurants when meeting family/ friends out for dinner :)

What sort of bad reactions do you get from organ meats, if you don't mind me asking?

I eat as much variety as I can tolerate, which includes lamb, bison, seafood, fish, eggs, and fermented vegetables. I include a modest amount of organ meats.

My top priority is very low-carb, so a salad would not be out of the question. Absolute zero carb does not seem necessary, and it runs counter to my instincts.

after the first day or two of eating only 1-2oz total of grassfed heart/liver/kidney i started experiencing all the signs of copper toxicity. mainly all the candida symptoms started to return including bloating, gas, stomach rumbling, itching skin and also my moods became very erratic. i felt tired all the time and was very irritable, mind was constantly racing and thoughts were not clear like they usually are.

OK, so you do eat some veggies, then. What about raw butter or nuts?  Do those also produce negative symptoms?

Do you just want to sustain, or thrive?

I second the suggestion of checking out Lex's journal. He is one of the few who has reported doing fairly well for more than a few years on nearly only RAF (I think he said that he also sometimes eats Kerrygold butter and heated broth, and occasionally other foods, and he also takes some supplements).

I tried RAF-only for a few months after being challenged to try "zero carb," and out of curiosity after seeing the reported positive results of Lex and several others, to see if I would get any health benefits from any length of ZCing (though the strict ZC notion of minimizing or avoiding liver, brains, eggs and shellfish just because they contain carbs never made sense to me, and I had no plans to do that longterm). I felt great, but started developing worsening constipation, so I tested adding back other foods into my diet, and trying various foods that were new to me. For me it seemed to be a good intermittent therapy, rather than a good permanent WOE.

I don't like to answer the "negative symptoms" question regarding specific foods because I don't think my answers would apply to someone else. They don't even apply to me all the time. For example, I can eat a food such as walnut or avocado in season, but they don't agree with me or appeal to me out of season. Various land and sea animals have their own seasons, too. On top of seasonality, I make food selections for therapeutic goals.

To the OP, I would suggest reading and experimenting. You may have specific goals in mind, or you may stumble upon your goals via experimentation.

Beef or veal is staple food of my diet. i have been eating beef as staple food for the past three yrs. My son is on beef for the past 4 yrs (he is 6 yrs old) and daughter is on beef since birth. Raw beef is addictive too. I mean good addiction. It is more like I lost appetite on other cooked food while I eat raw beef only.some organs i eat. But lots of beef fats and beef mostly. My junk food is eating tropical fruits like mangos and bananas and watermelons always outside the season.Only reason I do not consume too much organs cause they  are  not available enough. I put more priority to feed organs to my children than me. They are suffering on high lead things. But I m still clueless. This beef diet changes my life dramatically. I look younger, feel healthier and energy is unbelievable. The bad thing would be suffering from high libido -X >D> My husband even gets scared now sleeping with me LOL!
