Hi, about me and lots of quesitons :)
« on: May 18, 2014, 12:19:08 am »
Hi,

Im new to this raw meat eating stuff and im really excited about it. I THINK this is an answer for my prayers. Im a track and field decathlete(explosive power, speed, muscle mass needed), 26 years old, 70- 72kgs, 181cm tall.

Suffering from:
skin problems(especially on face, like red spots/ rash around mouth, all over face)
-digestion issues
extremely sunken and dark circles under/around eyes!!! (its like my eye balls where pushed in my skull)
wrinkles near the eyes(im 26, LOL)
back/neck pain(i constantly need to click my neck and back, they go ''out'' easily)
chronic fatigue
blurred vision
slow healing(cuts, bruises or just generally after training)
frequent injuries during training
brain fog(inability to concentrate/focus and to coordinate my body)
alternating stool texture(sometimes hard sometimes soft/runny
rapid plaque build up on teeth
dandruff on scalp
underweight (im 181cm tall and my weight is between 70- 72 kgs, for my sports  I would need to be 80- 81kgs)
compared to other decathletes, im really weak strength wise, to illustrate, my bench-press  1 rep max is 200 pounds...others push 265- 300 pounds(120- 140kgs), my squat 1 rep max is 245lbs... others squat 440lbs(200kgs), my 1 rep deadlift max is 265lbs(120kgs)...others deadlift 440- 500 punds(200kgs)
low back pain/tightness
hamstring/abductor tightness
 sweet taste in mouth
calves and achilles tendon problems, injuries
weak gums
tongue coated with white layer
saliva flowing out of mouth during sleep on pillow
night sweats
hearth racing sometimes when resting
teeth grinding sometimes during sleep
im also easily irritable, aggressive for little things, for nothings...
after a chiropractic or osteopathic session the correctly aligned joints/bones/tissues dont stay in their aligned position... very soon they lose their correct position and injuries will come soon.
Gas
inflamation all over body
i feel like all my nutritious food I eat is not nourishing me at all
cold feet and hands

I already knew that raw grass fed milk and dairy, and raw free range-grain free eggs are super foods.

According to my research all of these symptoms are caused by a combination of:
parasites(worms, candida overgrowth, lyme, flukes)
leaky gut(parasites drilling their head in the intestinal wall to suck the nutrients out of the blood stream, creating holes in the intestines: leaky gut)
GMO foods(destroying the intestines/colon/gut, causing leaky gut)
low stomach acid (so there is no protection against parasites, bad bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungus, mold etc)
weak liver/kidneys because of the leaky gut, toxins are reabsorbed and the liver/kidneys is/are overwhelmed
heavy metals(vaccines, water, amalgam dental fillings, environment, household stuff, paint, etc)
electromagnetic pollution/radiation(wi-fi, mobiles etc)
to much sugar
poisons in food and water
big pharma drugs(antibiotics, vaccines, and other ''legal'' DRUGS)
nutrient deficiency (because of parasites sucking away the nutrients, because of the leaky gut not being able absorbing the nutrients)

Now, my greatest concern is eating raw meat/fish/organs. Specifically the worms/parasites and worm /parasite eggs in them concerns me the most. I mean I saw for example MOVING small worms in fish in the supermarket... I mean I guess if I would eat that raw, then that little tape worm can grow inside me to up to 10 meters(30 feet), eating me up from the inside making my life a hell. I mean according to my research, the only people who dont have parasites are the ones who are cleansing themselves OFTEN with anti-parasitic herbs. So that means that 99.99% of the people have minimum 2 parasites, and 1 of them 100% is a tapeworm. It is estimated that a tape worm grows about 30cm each year. Think about it. 1/3- 1/2 of our fecal matter is not even ours, its the worms. Peoples pot belly is because the worms are so many that their belly expands so much creating ALL diseases(in combo with leaky gut and gmos and heavu metals)...

We know that organs like liver, kidneys are detox organs. So logically, in the liver and kidneys etc. would an animal store most of the toxins. Is this correct? So why is it ok to eat them if they are loaded with the most toxins?

Also I read that some RPD people recommend ONLY grass fed/ non-grain fed meat, while others say it dosnt matter if it is pumped with antibiotics, gmo's/grains, artificial hormones, that one will still benefit from eating meat/fish/organs raw. What is the truth here? Only grass fed raw meat/organs/fish or not?

Can anybody explain to me how raw meat heals the body(or raw milk, eggs)? Like, through what mechanism they heal???

I know that the THEORY behind fibers and anti-parasitic herbs is that they cleanse/purge/sweep the body/colon of parasites and hardened garbage/biofilms on the colon and heal the intestines/colon/gut so now, with a healed gut, nutrients now can be absorbed and toxins can be eliminated and they are not reabsorbed any more because of the healed non-leaky gut ad all symptoms go away because the root cause was healed.

Also what about raw egg whites, they do not deplete vitamin B7(biotin) and B5???

Is there any supplement needed on a raw paleo/primal diet? Like enzymes, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, or herbs for liver, heart, kidneys?

What are your thoughts on salt(himalayan, celtic)? Are the minerals absorbable form salt?

What are your thoughts on carbs like: sweet potato, potato, yucca, yams, honey(unpasteurised), maple syrup(grade B – best).. are they needed for gaining muscle mass and to increase athletic performance(like sprinting faster[100m, 100m hurdles, 400m], jumping higher/further[long jump, high jump, pole vault), throwing further[discus, javelin, shot put])

what about water ingestion? some say drink lots of it, some say drink when you are thirsty....

What are your thoughts on wheat germ oil(vitamin E, octacosanol), rice bran oil(gamma oryzanol), red palm oil(vitamins A, whole E family complex, Q10), coconut oil, walnut oil, hazelnut oil, olive oil, peanut oil(arachidonic acid)?

What are your thoughts on Apple Cider Vinegar(unpasteurised, unfiltered), source of potassium, probiotics/good bacteria, HCL and other minerals/vitamins?

What are your thoughts on kelp/dulse power(minerals, vitamins), and fermented vegetables(probiotics/good bacteria, fiber), and goat or cows colostrum(growth factors, immunity), bee pollen(vitamins, enzymes, minerals),  or juiced or fresh pineapple/papaya/kiwi(rich in enzymes)

Also what about leaving meat/organs/fish to rot... what is this all about? it will become more healing or what? do you leave it on the counter to rot or in the fridge? eggs to can be left to 'rot', if so, how? what about milk?

Do you guys eat veggies, fruits, or their juices? or fermented veggies? are they necessary?

I mean my goal is to get back in optimal health and stay healthy, grow 10kgs of pure muscle, avoid injuries and win the gold medal at the national finals in my country through the right diet and super hard work. What do you guys recommend me to eat to achieve my goals/dreams, and do I need ANY supplements to take?

Are ''therapists'' like Aajonus out there? did he taught others about his healing methods?
Thank you and sorry for the long post.

Welcome. I'll give you a few answers that I might know, but the first thing to realize is that there is no "official" raw paleo diet and that raw meat does not heal the body. The body heals itself - there are many mechanisms that enable the body to do this, such as coagulation of blood to stop bleeding, immune cells to protect from bad bacteria, mucus to protect, etc. RPD allows us to stop assaulting our bodies with an overload of toxins at every mealtime. It also allows us to provide usable nutrition to our body. Given a break, the body continues its healing processes more effectively.

We know that organs like liver, kidneys are detox organs. So logically, in the liver and kidneys etc. would an animal store most of the toxins. Is this correct?

The liver and kidney are filtering organs. They do not store toxins, they dump them to the eliminative organs. Only when the body is overloaded with toxins past its ability to eliminate would the kidney, liver, and other body components absorb toxins that are meant to be excreted.

Yoga or other postural practices can give you better results. Make sure your feet are in a natural position - thin-soled, zero-lift shoes are good for this.

If a species of livestock is meant to eat grass, then go for that... ONLY! Look at how the wrong diet affects humans, and then decide if you want to eat wrong-diet meat.

When I was at my sickest, I could have done that kind of research and come up with a long list, too. Before I even started guessing about disease names, I started eating a natural human diet and got a lot of relief. Problems like high blood sugar need my conscious decisions about what to eat, but problems like leaky gut just healed themselves.

You've offered a lot of information, and asked a lot of questions. I don't think anyone's going to invest the time going through your introductory post point-by-point. I'm certainly not.

I will say that while it's possible you are suffering from parasites, I'd doubt it. It sounds to me like you're suffering from chronic, systemic inflammation, which can be caused by many things and lead to cascading issues within your metabolism and immune systems that contribute to the symptoms you're suffering from.

If this is true, your first step is to figure out what foods are causing the inflammation and stop eating them. Things that cause inflammation for many people include: meats and dairy fed heavily on grain; grain, legumes and plant seeds more generally; refined sugar of any sort; refined carbohydrates (i.e. anything made of flour); any food that's contaminated with toxins.

Once you take that step, you need to make sure your body gets the proper buildings blocks so it can rebuild tissues and heal. Raw meats and raw fats are an important part of this.

can i continue to train hard while transitioning to RPD? or i need to take a COMPLETE break from ALL exercise to let my body heal?

i have 9 workouts per week, each lasts about 90, 120, 150 minutes(plyometrics, medicine balls throws, heavy weight lifting, sprints, throws)

sunday i have TOTAL rest, i just stay pretty much in bed, prepare food and eat.

what do you guys think?

also, can i transition to RPD like immediately 100%?

i was thinking to keep it as simple as possible

for breakfast:
10 raw eggs(60g PRO, 50g FAT)
1 T. wheat germ oil+ 1 T rice bran oil+ 1 T coconut oil(40g FAT)
1- 2 T raw Apple Cider Vingar+ 1- 3 tsp. pollen powder+ 1- 3 grams kelp/dulse powder+ 1 tsp. cayenne pepper+ 2 T raw honey(30g CHO)

for lunch: 350g raw meat/ or fish/ or organs(60g PRO, 60g FAT)
1 T. wheat germ oil+ 1 T rice bran oil+ 1 T coconut oil(40g FAT)
1- 2 T raw Apple Cider Vingar+ 1- 3 tsp. pollen powder+ 1- 3 grams kelp/dulse powder+ 1 tsp. cayenne pepper+ 2 T raw honey(30g CHO)

for dinner(after training)
1 litre raw milk+ 4 raw eggs(60g PRO, 60g FAT, 25g CHO)
1 T. wheat germ oil+ 1 T rice bran oil+ 1 T coconut oil(40g FAT)
1- 2 T raw Apple Cider Vingar+ 1- 3 tsp. pollen powder+ 1- 3 grams kelp/dulse powder+ 1 tsp. cayenne pepper+ 1 T raw honey(15g CHO)

what do you guys think of this meal plan?

should i eat and/ or drink anything between meals? like pineapple juice, or pineapple juice should be ingested during meals to aid digestion?

also, consuming fermented veggies(fiber + good bacteria) with meals will not strip/sweep out precious nutrients from the raw animal ingested at the same time?

does anybody know which are the fattiest part of meat? and how much fat is in 100grams of fatty meat? im speculating between 10- 20 grams of fat per 100 grams of fatty meat.

thank you

You get to decide whether your body needs a complete break.

Why not? Nothing catastrophic happens when you stop eating junk. I think that a complete transition is the simplest, but you get to decide.

Perhaps you can practice reading your own hunger and thirst signals and follow those. Gastric juices are designed to digest foods, so unless you are having major issues after you start eating RPD, you probably don't need to aid digestion.

Grass-fed beef has no marbling, so most of the fat surrounds the muscle. Other significant sources of beef fat would be the marrow, the tongue, and the brain. Don't forget that unprocessed foods like avocados and coconuts are a good source of fat, too.

As Eric mentioned, your symptoms may be associated with inflammation. I am familiar with this myself, and I would avoid eating processed/extracted oils from grains like rice bran oil or wheat germ oil.

OK, ditch all those unnecessary  highly processed supplements and go in for raw grassfed or wild meats.  Organ-meats are much higher in nutrients than muscle-meats and precisely because they are organs designed to filter out the toxins, they are fine to eat. Ignore the parasite fears. It is hysterical and paranoid and the vast majority of us ignore this  insane issue of parasites supposedly existing in every piece of raw meat nonsense. No one is sure re the egg-white issue  as it is all anecdotal. Just make sure to eat the whole raw egg or just the raw egg-yolk and you will be fine.  Meat that contains toxins such as grainfed meats are a waste of time and will lead to long-term harm. Eveheart is right in that raw meat does not per se heal the body, it is the body that heals itself. Unfortunately, processed/cooked foods contain a myriad variety of heat-created toxins that severely harm the body and prevent it from healing. Avoid salt unless you have some freak sodium deficiency(highly unlikely!).

Rotting meats can be very useful:-
http://www.rawpaleodietforum.com/display-your-culinary-creations/high-meat-recipe-preparation-for-more-advanced-rafers/

As for potatoes, yams, wheat bran and other nonsense, avoid them like the plague. They are expensive if taken in quantity, another reason to avoid them. Raw fruit and veg are fine to eat. Best to go for organic fruit/veg if possible, but not as essential, imo, as with meats.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS!!! I SINCERELY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!!!

the reason i included the wheat germ oil and rice bran oil is for their vitamin E and octacosanol/gamma oryzanol content, lots of studies were made on their help in gaining lea muscle/ performance and health. Should i then eliminate them?

what about red palm oil, contains saturated fats, vitamin A and the whole family of the vitamin E complex(tocotrienols and tocopherols)

so i should ditch these too?:  raw Apple Cider Vingar, pollen powder, kelp/dulse powder, cayenne pepper, raw honey.

i thought i would include these for their nutrient content...

what are your thoughts about unprocessed salt(himalayan or celtic) and water consumption?

which type of water is best to consume and how much per day? or e better question would be, what is the best way to hydrate the body and with what? until now i read that distilled water is best = pure H2O basically..

also, when the body healed itself, so there are no more dead tissue(s), will the parasites leave the body(one will poop them out?), or one must take some antiparasitic herbs to basically ''make'' them leave? i mean, you know... its still not fun to have a 1- 10 meter(3- 30 feet) long monster in your body i guess,....LOL

what about food combination? i also read that any kind of meat/fish/organs is not ok to combine with other animal proteins, for e.g.: meat/fish/organs + eggs, or meat/fish/organs+ dairy/milk... eggs + milk/dairy is ok according to my research... is this true or BS? but then i also read that raw milk should be ingested by itself for best utilisation/assimilation and should be ingested slowly, the principle of: drink your solid food, and eat your liquid food

another interesting thing i read is that protein needs about 1.3 to 1.5 times fat to be easily utilised/absorbed/assimilate, for e.g.: if you eat 60 grams of protein at a meal, the meal should also contain 90grams of fat, a real life example would be 10 eggs (60g PRO, 50g FAT) + 50g butter(40g FAT)[or 45ml coconut oil{40f FAT as well}] = 60g PRO + 90g FAT... anybody read/heard about this?

also what about fiber, is that bad? i saw some recipes  with coconut cream, but that contains fiber? dosnt coconut oil contains everything useful from the coconut?

what are your thoughts on ingesting herbal extracts/tinctures to aid/support/rebuild organs like gut/liver/kidneys/heart with herbs like milk thistle seeds, dandelion, burdock, nettle, turmeric, cayenne, hawthorn berries, comfrey root, paprika, and hormonal support herbs like: tribulus, deer antler velvet, shilajit??

do you guys use fresh or dried powdered herbs spices to flavour your raw meat/eggs/milk/dairy? like turmeric, paprika, cayenne, parsley, cilantro, cinnamon, cacao(is this ok?), vanilla, dill, rosemary, black pepper etcetc.??

also, what about the insides(organs, intestines) of fowl(chicken, duck, turkey etc) and fish with scales? all of the insides can be eaten? like, for e.g., i just buy a wild caught fish, kill it, put in blender the whole thing(including head and scales???) with some fats/spices/herbs, blend till liquid/ puree and consume ??? can i do the same with a fowl (only the feathers removed here), like just cut into pieces, remove bones, put everything in blender(skin, organs, intestines, muscle etc.) put in blender again with some herbs/spices, blend and consume??

also, does raw animal food require lots of chewing, i read that digestion begins in the mouth, so one should chew the food in the mouth until it becomes liquid and then swallow... usually from 25 to 50 chewings for each bite of food... one very old men(over 100) said that on eof his secret was to chew each bite of his food for at least 30 times until food became liquid... so, raw animal food requires or not to be chewed untll becomes almost like a liquid/puree in the mouth and then swallow?

can raw animal food cleanse the intestinal walls of hardened fecal mater causing constipaiton? or for that, fiber/hebrs is needed ?

i will repost this post in ''general discussion'' section, maybe more people will jump in. again: THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR EVRYBOY!!! after all, with Christ's help and guidance(like He helped me find this forum and movement), i might be  able to get healthy and win that gold medal)

Like  I said before, ditch ALL  those processed supplements as they are an unnecessary expense and, besides, raw foods contain plenty of nutrients like vitamin e or whatever., more so especially if one eats raw organ-meats as well.
Plus ignore this absurd parasite hysteria and just assume that there are no parasites in your raw meats.   c.  99.99% of the time, there will be no parasites in the raw meats you eat. I know this as parasite infestation is extremely rare in RPD circles as farmers etc. always take great care to deworm their animals. Come to think of it, even those who eat lots of raw wild game, such as myself, hardly ever encounter a parasite.

Avoid any salt unless you have some freak sodium deficiency.(and please read my posts as I had already mentioned this before!). Water is fine to drink if you are thirsty but not really otherwise.

Re protein/fat comment:- sounds like nonsense as protein is digested on its own.

Re food-combination:-   Keep raw animal foods and raw plant foods apart from each other, due to their needing different types of stomach-acid, but ignore all other "rules" except possibly the one about consuming raw dairy on its own.

RPDers view fibre as being unnecessary.  All it does is make one's stools much larger.

Herbal extracts are a waste of time. If you have access to raw wild herbs, fine, try them, but they are not all that important re health.

Many newbies add spices such as pepper, garlic etc. to their raw foods. Long-termers usually never bother as they have gotten used to the taste of the raw meats long before.

Re blender:- Why not? Might be interesting. I eat the whole animal if I can, though I  hardly ever get the brain and of course I cannot eat the bones in most cases.

Re chewing:- raw foods do not need to be chewed. Most of us just bolt the raw food down after just one chew, that's it.

The hardened faecal matter in the intestines , resulting from decades of eating cooked foods, can be gotten rid of slowly if on a raw food diet. No  fibre needed.
