Nigel Farage's Straight Talk
« on: November 18, 2014, 06:12:21 am »
I am dedicating this thread to UK's Nigel Farage

Farage: Throw political correctness agenda in the bin & apply rule of law evenly

He sounds like the most sensible politician in the UK today.

In this interview he talks about:

- Political correctness
- Islamic stuff
- Immigration
- The English Powers That Be
- Prince Charles
- The USA and Obama
- The European Union
- Gay Marriage
- Climate change

And much more...

He sounds like what I would if I were turned politician... logical...

Yes, he is not being paid by the usual special interests, so he is  OK for now. I still think that Ron Paul is way more intelligent, though. However, Farage has, again and again, made his political opponents look like bloody fools, despite them constantly attacking him.

Only thing:- gay marriage. I used to be all in favour of gay marriage. I mean,  it seemed to be absurd to prohibit gays from marrying, as it seemed to do no harm. Unfortunately, I subsequently read some militantly pro-gay treatises on the real reason as to why gays wanted to introduce gay marriage:- that is, not so much  in order to allow gays to marry(an absurd idea since homosexuals of both genders are FAR  more likely to break up relationships than heterosexuals), but in order to destroy heterosexual marriage.

Another problem I had with the gays was a recent witch-hunt by homosexuals against the Christian Right whereby homosexuals targetted a Christian bakery for not being willing to produce a cake promoting gay marriage.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/11211789/Christian-bakery-ordered-to-recant-over-Bert-and-Ernie-gay-marriage-cake-or-face-court.html
Then there was the nasty, vicious  successful  attempt by the British Red Cross to ban an old, long-term member simply because he was against gay marriage and had demonstrated with a placard against this.  I mean, this  guy was not against gays per se, just against a particular concept.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/11229306/Pressure-mounts-on-Red-Cross-over-elderly-volunteer-axed-after-gay-marriage-protest.html
Anyway, the tenth-rate Red Cross spokesman whined bitterly about how this incident had "wasted the time of those who could have spent the time on more charitable pursuits abroad", not being willing to concede that the local Red Cross had wasted its time persecuting one of its consistently  long-term, local members for his beliefs.
"During the last campaign I knew what was happening. You know, they mocked me for my foreign policy and they laughed at my monetary policy. No more. No more.
" Ron Paul.

Ron Paul for leader of the USA

And

Nigel Farage for leader of the UK

Sounds like a better world if that happens.

But I'm an outsider... what do you guys in your respective home countries think?

nigel farage is a hoxer... google: nigel farage admits his party was/is a joke
Pumping out units, I mean kids, aka bringing innocent beings into this ‘heavenly’ dimension of misery, suffering, struggling, pain and DEATH, WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION/CONSENT, is NOT the solution/remedy/cure for your personal problems/issues such as: boredom, poverty, selfishness, loneliness, low IQ, **megalomania, shallowness, emptiness, vanity, hero complex syndrome, narcissism, virtue signalling syndrome. Please stop being a sadist, masochist and find a more useful/constructive hobby. 😉

Rubbish. All Farage has admitted is that his party is full of eccentrics. However, these people are not genuine "eccentrics", it is just that they only seem that way because they talk honestly and genuinely  about things without self-censoring themselves due to political correctness and other absurdities. Mainstream non-UKIP politicians, by contrast, such as Cameron and Milliband, all try to be slimy nonentities who who are as empty of personality  in official engagements as possible for fear of losing votes,  and dare not address seriously any  genuine UK problem such as immigration or the national deficit, also for fear of losing votes.

Take a recent example. A UKIP candidate was made to resign simply because, as Farage pointed out, he had said words like "Chinky" and "poofter" which British people use in normal conversation. In other words, nowadays, British politicians are absurdly expected to maintain a sort of Orwellian "Newspeak" instead of talking like normal people.

I had similiar experiences. I used to refer to people of Pakistani origin as "Pakis" until I finally read somewhere, after years, that it was considered a racial slur. This is ridiculous as it is only a diminutive of "Pakistani" and therefore  completely meaningless-  calling them "Asian" is very stupid as that confuses them with East Asians/Orientals.  Similiarly, I have often used the word "Negro" in the past to refer to blacks(because of terms like "Negro spirituals") , only to find that, since c.1990(?) it is now  absurdly considered a "racist" term by Liberals etc. , despite blacks/Negroes of an older generation still happily using the term. More confusing still, apparently, in Brazil, calling someone "black" is an insult whereas calling them a "Negro" is not, and scientific words like "mulatto" are commonly used in Brazil, but prohibited in the US!  Besides, Negroes/blacks have varying skin-colour so calling someone who has white or brown skin "black" simply because of some  Negro ancestry does not make sense. Plus, one does not refer to Orientals as "yellows" or South Indians as "browns" for example. So the modern, politically-correct terms are idiotic, compared to the ones used in the past.
I despise such orwellian newspeak(another example being the word "gay" used to describe homosexuals)  because the speaker should determine what is offensive or inoffensive, not the listener, as, otherwise,  absolutely anybody could take offense at the slightest whim or inclination, thus banning free speech. The US is lucky in having the 1st amendment as, despite social pressure, it is possible to say what one wants to say without being jailed for it.
"During the last campaign I knew what was happening. You know, they mocked me for my foreign policy and they laughed at my monetary policy. No more. No more.

Nice observation Tyler.
I myself cannot be a newspeak politician then.
I have children coming into their TEENS and I have to play the fatherly role of being TRUTHFUL to a fault because otherwise my children will never hear the REAL THING from media, schools, other people who censor their own speech.

Out of curiosity, GS, what political parties exist in the Phillippines and are any worth even voting for?

The political parties have no clear principles that they stand for.  The political parties are personality based.
